COVID-19 UPDATE 23/03/2020

We want to let you know about key changes to the way we will be operating during this unprecedented time.

Today the Prime Minister announced that New Zealand has moved to COVID-19 Alert Level 3, and will be moving to Alert Lever 4 on Wednesday for at least the next four weeks.

We will continue to provide specialist services until further notice by the Government. Endoscopy service will continue as usual. As for the consultations, we will be conducting most of the consultations by phone or video consultations.

We have been working hard to ensure the safety of our patients and staff and we have the following measures in place for your protection:

  • Virtual consultations by Telephone, Skype and Zoom. Some of our providers will be able to use other platforms as well. This is in line with the public hospital system.
  • Entry to the clinic after completion of a Health Declaration Form – including screening questions and a temperature check prior to arrival.
  • Temperature checks on arrival – entry permitted only if less than 37.5°C.
  • Strict Hand Hygiene - Hand sanitisers widely available and all our staff have been trained to have strict hand washing.
  • Staff will be wearing surgical masks at all times for your protection – please supply your own if you need to wear one.
  • No visitors will be allowed inside (unless there is a language barrier, disability or if you are between aged 15-18y) – please do not bring children < 15y.
  • Social distancing - our Waiting Room has chairs spaced 1.5m apart.
  • Increased protective measures - our endoscopy service will continue with increased protective measures

    3. Surgical masks
    4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    5. Gumboots
  • No cash payments – EFTPOS and Online transfer only

COVID-19 UPDATE 13/05/2020

We continue to take guidance from the Ministry of Health as we transition through COVID-19 alert levels. Greenlane Medical Specialists will resume operations at a reduced capacity at Alert Level 2 from Thursday 14 May. At level 2, we have included face-to-face consultations. COVID-19 UPDATE 24/04/2020

The Government has announced that New Zealand will be at Alert Level 3 from Tuesday 28 April. We will be at Alert Level 3 for 2 weeks until the Cabinet makes further decisions on 11 May. COVID-19 UPDATE 14/04/2020

We hope everyone is staying safe during the lockdown. We have been physically closed since Monday 30 March, however, we have been continuing to look after our patients virtually via phone and video (skype, zoom, doxy.me) consultations. We are hopeful we can re-start our services soon.  Our staff will be contacting patients to tentatively book appointments with the assumption that we will come out of lockdown on April 24. The Ministry of Health will make a final decision on April 20. If the lockdown is extended we will be in touch to reschedule your appointment. COVID-19 UPDATE 24/03/2020

I hope you are all keeping well during these turbulent times. I am writing to update you with our COVID-19 pandemic response plan. The PM announced yesterday that we are on COVID-19 Alert Level 3 and from Wednesday 25 March, we will be on Alert Level 4. Looking carefully at the documentation from the Ministry of Health, we need to cancel all non- essential procedures to contain the pandemic “stamp it out” phase.
