COVID-19 UPDATE 27/10/2021

As we remain in Alert Level 3 with the current increasing community Covid-19 prevalence, we have reviewed our screening protocol for face-to-face patients to match the requirements of the Ministry of Health and the District Health Board.

Our consultation services will continue virtually via phone and video (skype, zoom, doxy.me) and we will be providing the in-clinic services listed below.

We will continue with the strict hygiene and physical distancing measures we have establish since the previous lockdown to ensure the facility is safe and to protect you and our staff.

In-Clinic Services

  • Endoscopy – Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy
  • Fibroscans
  • Face-to-Face Consultations (see COVID-19 Policy below)

What to Bring

  • Come alone*
  • Your own surgical mask. Masks are not provided at the clinic.
  • Keep other personal belongings to a minimum.

COVID-19 Policy

  • For double vaccinated patients, we would be able to serve you face-to-face unless you have upper respiratory tract symptoms. Please submit a copy of your Vaccination Record Card and fill out the COVID-19 Health Declaration Form prior to your arrival.
  • For unvaccinated patients or single dose vaccinated patients, we would appreciate your help in providing evidence of a negative COVID-19 swab test 48 hours prior to your arrival to the clinic. We consider this necessary to ensure the safety of other patients coming to the clinic.

*People accompanying you will be asked to wait outside unless you have a language barrier, a disability that requires special care or are a child aged between 15y-18y.

At the Clinic

  • COVID-19 Delta screening at the entrance. You will be asked a set of questions, sign a health declaration form, and a temperature check will be taken before entering.
  • Scan the Ministry of Health’s NZ COVID QR code.
  • Sanitize hands and use the restroom before entering the clinic.
  • Chairs in the Waiting Room are placed 1.5m apart to reduce the chance of transmission.
  • The Theatre is thoroughly cleaned between patients and the facilities are cleaned and sterilized on a regular basis.
  • All clinical staff will wear protective gowns, masks, face shields and gumboots.
  • Online transaction only. No cash handling on premise.

Thursday 17 August 2023 | 04:45 PM At 12:01AM 15 August 2023 the government is removing the remaining COVID-19 public health requirements. Given the lack of mandatory masking and 7 days isolations, The Ministry of Health has made this a "recommendation of 5 day isolations" if you are feeling unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19. Mask wearing remains an important way we can prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19, in health and disability care settings. COVID-19 UPDATE 13/04/2022 - Omicron Traffic Light System Clinic Protocol

Wednesday 13 April 2022 | 11:59 PM At 2359 13 April 2022 all of New Zealand will move into the Traffic Light System (Orange). We have reviewed our screening protocol for face-to-face patients to match the requirements of the Ministry of Health and the District Health Board. COVID-19 Omicron Policy Due to the increasing community Covid-19 prevalence, Greenlane Medical Specialists has to implement safety screening protocol. • For double vaccinated patients, we would be able to serve you face-to-face unless you have upper respiratory tract symptoms. We will screen you, take your temperature and verbally ask you some questions upon arrival. • For unvaccinated patients or single dose vaccinated patients, we will require a negative RAT test on arrival. We consider this necessary to ensure the safety of other patients coming to the clinic. Please come 30 minutes earlier and park outside the clinic. Thursday 25 February 2022 | 07:44 AM  At 2359 24 February 2022 we will move into the Traffic Light  System (Red) with Omicron (phase 3) in the community.  We have reviewed our screening protocol for face-to-face patients to match the requirements of the Ministry of Health and the District Health Board. COVID-19 Omicron Policy  Our preference and default is non-face to face clinics - we realize that some consultations are better in person, if you wish to have a face to face, please call 09 9306108 to discuss. For double and triple vaccinated patients, we may be able to serve you face-to-face in certain situations unless you have upper respiratory tract symptoms. Non face to face is preferred. Please submit a copy of your Vaccine Pass and fill out the COVID-19 Health Declaration Form prior to your arrival. You will be screened on arrival and make your payment. Please continue to stay outside the clinic and the Doctor will call you once they are ready. Wednesday 16 February 2022 | 0742 AM At 2359 16 February 2022 we will move into the Traffic Light  System (Red) with Omicron (Phase 2 - 1000-5000 cases in the community).  We have reviewed our screening protocol for face-to-face patients to match the requirements of the Ministry of Health and the District Health Board. COVID-19 Omicron Policy During Phase 2, it is our preference that you have a non-face to face consultation to protect you. If you wish to have a face to face consultation, we require that you are double or triple vaccinated and have a valid Vaccine Pass. COVID-19 UPDATE 14/04/2020

We hope everyone is staying safe during the lockdown. We have been physically closed since Monday 30 March, however, we have been continuing to look after our patients virtually via phone and video (skype, zoom, doxy.me) consultations. We are hopeful we can re-start our services soon.  Our staff will be contacting patients to tentatively book appointments with the assumption that we will come out of lockdown on April 24. I hope you are all keeping well during these turbulent times. I am writing to update you with our COVID-19 pandemic response plan. The PM announced yesterday that we are on COVID-19 Alert Level 3 and from Wednesday 25 March, we will be on Alert Level 4. Looking carefully at the documentation from the Ministry of Health, we need to cancel all non- essential procedures to contain the pandemic “stamp it out” phase.
